The largest single office letting in Chichester for 2012 has taken place at Friars House, a modern office and retail development on East Street.

The space comprises three open plan suites spanning 10,000 sq ft and was let via Henry Adams to Direct Life for a 10 year term.

Sean Kaufmann acted on behalf of the landlords, the Coal Pension Fund, handling complex negotiations which spanned four months. A hard driven deal was eventually achieved which entailed the tenant substantially refurbishing the interior and the landlord contributing with a new roof and new windows.

“Direct Life have relocated here from their former Chichester offices for the extra space Friars House afforded,” said Sean. “It’s close to all main town amenities and has underground parking. Above all they selected Friars House due to its central location and staff satisfaction and the agreement of satisfactory terms for both sides.”
