Martin is a chartered surveyor with a business school background. He qualified in 1996 and has extensive experience advising high profile occupiers on their UK property requirements. Martin has worked on 3m square feet of UK office strategy / consolidation / relocation projects and understands how to drive out value. In 2012, Martin joined Henry Adams Commercial where he is deeply involved in all aspects of the business whilst providing agency, investment and strategic property advice for owners and users of commercial property across the south-east.
After graduating from Kingston University, Louise worked in a London firm for three years, gaining some solid experience in valuation and rating while undertaking her chartership. Louise then returned home to Sussex and joined Cluttons in 2011 (now Henry Adams Commercial), where she enjoys working on a mix of commercial and residential valuation, rating and agency work for both national companies and individual property owners.
Andrew has worked in commercial property since 2001, gaining considerable experience in all sectors of commercial agency across the Sussex region. He has served an extensive and diverse client base, handling a wide range of instructions from local shopkeepers to major organisations. Andrew forms an integral part of the Henry Adams team in Horsham, with a proactive and approachable style, he is able to offer specialist advice in all aspects of commercial property including sales, leasing, business transfer, acquisition and investment properties.
Alex became a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute in 2004 and has worked for both local authorities and multi-disciplinary property consultancies. She has developed a wealth of experience while representing a variety of clients including local developers, private individuals and a number of institutional and ecclesiastical organisations. Alex's work is mainly focused on negotiating and submitting planning applications, pursuing appeals and promoting land for future development, and she has a particular interest in planning and development in rural areas.
Alan is an experienced planning consultant who joined the Cluttons' commercial team in 2007 (now Henry Adams Commercial) after his retirement from his post as a Chief Planning Officer post in Hampshire. Alan undertakes specialised projects for our clients including those involving public inquiries and hearings relating to the promotion of sites and the management of developments, particularly residential developments.
Christine is the administrator for the planning team. After working for the NHS and various banking and legal firms, she joined the Cluttons' commercial team in 2003 (now Henry Adams Commercial) to provide the planning team with administrative, technical and financial support. Christine has a detailed knowledge and understanding of planning matters herself having worked in a commercial planning environment for so long.
Jim has worked in commercial property in the West Sussex area since 1981, originally with Tod Miller Thomas (now Henry Adams Commercial). He provides comprehensive professional services to clients and colleagues, including submissions as an Expert Witness to arbitrators and experts, mainly on rental and lease renewal disputes. Jim also undertakes commercial and residential valuations for loan security or other purposes as well as landlord and tenant matters, with some retail agency work.
Robert is a chartered surveyor who has gained a broad experience in all aspects of property since he qualified in 1991. He carried out his training in Scotland then practiced in Devon before moving to Sussex in 1995. He is now in charge of the commercial department in our Horsham office, which deals in all aspects of urban and rural commercial property in Horsham and the surrounding area, extending into the Crawley/Gatwick region and south as far as the Downs.
Bob is a Chartered Town Planner who held senior posts in local government for over 25 years before joining the Cluttons' commercial team in 2001 (now Henry Adams Commercial). He has extensive experience in planning, particularly in rural areas, having worked on appraisals, applications, appeals and related planning work for a diverse client base of landowners, developers, local authorities and private individuals across the whole of the south and south-west of England.
Dawn is a Chartered Town Planner with a broad base of experience in development management and strategic land obtained in local government and private practice. Dawn is able to advise clients on their individual planning proposals for commercial, residential and agricultural development, submit planning applications, pursue appeals and advise on enforcement issues.
Valerie joined Tod Miller Thomas (now Henry Adams Commercial) as an office manager in 1993 and brings an extraordinary enthusiasm to the role. She is responsible for preparing advertising schedules, producing marketing materials, updating and maintaining our marketing systems, coordinating the teams' activities and handling the many enquiries that come in to the office. She provides a much valued 'link' between our clients and surveyors, and after so many years of service she is extremely well versed in all aspects of the West Sussex commercial property market.
